I’m Julia Saric, a Registered Psychotherapist. Before becoming a therapist, I spent years teaching in high schools, colleges, and universities. I also spent a long time as a student myself, through more than one change of direction, before finding my way to psychotherapy. So when someone tells me they can’t start an assignment, don’t know what they want, or feel like they’re falling behind while everyone else seems fine, I don’t need it explained. I know what that looks like, and I take it seriously. I’m also the parent of two teenagers. That reminds me every day how much pressure students carry, and how hard it can be for parents to know how to help.

I work with people at those crossroads, whether they’re planning for school, changing careers, or trying to understand themselves better. My work as a psychometrist alongside a registered psychologist also means I can help you make sense of past assessments and actually use the recommendations.

My approach is practical and collaborative, drawing on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. I’ll be honest with you, and I’ll probably make you laugh at least once. My aim is that each session leaves you clearer and more able to move forward.
